World Sport meets Hang Glider and Red Bull Athlete Jonny Durand for his pro guide to hang-gliding. Relying solely on thermal currents to keep the hang glider airborne, Jonny’s flights can either last for hours, or minutes but there’s no one better at flying once he’s up.

This is probably the closest to flying you’ll ever get.

Flo Orley takes us with him on board his specially tuned hang glider near Chamonix in the Alps, where we join him for high speed maneuvers, high above the ground. With the glider cutting through the air as fast as 150 km/h, man’s dream of flying has never been so close.

Enjoy the breathtaking views and video camera angles, let them whisk you away into a dream for a few minutes, knowing that the sky has no limits…

Gliding Movement of Joint | Anatomy Body Movement Terms | Body Planes of Motion

lifestyle No Comments »

Gliding is a body movement term in anatomy. What is gliding? Gliding occurs when the surfaces of bones slide past one another in a linear direction, but without significant rotary or angular movement.

If you wave your hand from side to side, gliding will occur as the carpal bones of the wrist slide over one another.

Gliding can occur at the plane joints of the body, such as the sacroiliac joint of the pelvis, sternocostal joints of the ribs, and more.
